Description
A superior leaf Lapsang Souchong offering a crisp character with the remarkable and heady aroma of an oak fire. Certainly a unique tea! Often combined with a good bourbon for an invigorating beverage choice.
The story behind the Lapsang Souchong says that the Russians used to travel in caravans to China to get their tea. On the way home they would stop and camp along the way. By the time they arrived home - all of the teas had a smoky flavor from the campfires. So the story goes - the Russians developed a love of smoked teas and this is premier among them. A high quality black tea with a pungent smoky taste and aroma. A delightful change of pace but not for the light hearted! A manly tea, yes, but some women like it too;)!
