This Papua New Guinea Peaberry comes from teh Kigabah Estate. It is grown 1520 meters above sea level in rich volcanic soil. At this elevation, coffee matures slowly creating a dense bean and a complex flavor profile.
The Kigabah estate was established in the 1960's. In addition to producing some of the finest coffee in the region, the Kigabah Estate continues to employ people from the local community and supports local schools and health centers.
The Peaberry bean is actually 2 beans in one producing a full bodied, complex cup that is sweet and savory with a bright clean earthiness and a hint of spiciness on the finish.
Good coffee for a good cause!
